The 1:1 Chats are a free, monthly online interview series delving into craft and process with industry professionals across the spectrum of disciplines in music theatre. This chat will be facilitated by producer and MTW Co-Director Celeste Markwell.
British born Lisa Campbell is an award-winning producer, casting director and Chair of Hayes Theatre Co. Her production company, Luckiest Productions has produced national tours, international documentaries and live recordings for DVD and cinema releases. They have won Helpmann and ARIA awards, as well as numerous Sydney Theatre Awards. She was the producer of Adelaide Cabaret Festival from 2009-2011, alongside her husband David as Artistic Director. Lisa is a founding member of the Hayes Theatre Co, and is now Chair of the Board. In addition to this, Lisa is the Head of the Musicals Panel for the Helpmann Awards and is part of Live Performance Australia’s Executive Council. As a Producer, Lisa has presented many successful musical theatre productions, including Sweet Charity (with Tinderbox Productions and Neil Gooding Productions), Little Shop of Horrors (with Tinderbox Productions), Only Heaven Knows, Miracle City and Gypsy. For the Hayes Theatre Co, she has produced Assassins and Caroline, Or Change. She has been responsible for bringing several international acts to Australia, such as Megan Mullally, John Bucchino and Bryan Batt, and has produced countless cabarets and concerts by Australian artists including Christie Whelan-Browne, Bert Labonte, Gillian Cosgriff, Elise McCann and David Campbell. In addition to producing theatre, Lisa also produces children – ten-year-old Leo and five-year-old twins, Billy and Betty.
